🧠 A small AI surprise inside Khan Academy
Today, while planning, I discovered something I had completely missed in Khan Academy: the Khanmigo Tools section.
📎 “Free AI powered tools designed to save you time and improve instruction!”
I have no idea how long they have been there, but I decided to try one that
caught my eye: the Blooket generator.
Which, by coincidence, is my students’ favourite game and something I use from time to time as a reward or as an exit ticket at the end of a lesson.
Honestly, I expected a messy or confusing tool. But with the right prompt and a clear learning goal, it worked surprisingly well:
✅ It generates Blooket sets with as many questions as you want
✅ You can review and select the ones that best fit your class
✅ It adapts to almost any topic, subject and grade level
For teachers, this kind of tool does not replace planning. You still need to check, edit and align everything with your context. But it can save time on repetitive tasks and give you more space to focus on what matters most: how you teach and how students learn.
📚 I am already thinking about how to use it regularly for quick formative checks and language practice in my PYP classroom.
