How do you approach the ATLs in your classroom? 🎯🧠
I’ve seen different strategies — some teachers try to teach and assess all the ATL skills in one unit. 🌀
Personally, I prefer to select just one or two per unit. If I choose two, I like to balance them: one strong ATL focus and one secondary. ⚖️
This way, throughout the six units, we alternate ATL skills in a meaningful way. 🔁
Of course, that doesn’t mean the other ATLs aren’t present. Just like the Learner Profile attributes, they show up every day. 🌱 But the selected ATL skills are the ones we teach explicitly, embed intentionally, and assess directly. ✅
The rest are reinforced through classroom culture, not formal evaluation. 👣
